House Rules for AmaZing Venues

Updated August 2014

(EACH VENUE HAS A NUMBER OF UNIQUE FEATURES THAT ARE COVERED BELOW)

Ackergill Tower

1. This is an ancient highland Tower and occasionally the power supply may be interrupted, however, we are prepared with candles and roaring fires.

2. The Tower is AmaZing and has thousands of original features and artefacts, please be careful when accessing all areas of the Tower and touching the artefacts and please place them back where you found them.

3. This historic Tower has several floors and many magnificent stairways; however, there is no lift. Therefore, it may be possible that some of our Guests may experience difficulty in accessing higher parts of the Tower.

4. From the Tower, you can see and hear the North Sea; please take care, do not climb on the rocks and note that the tide can be very rough in the Highlands so also take care when on the beach and walking along the coastal paths.

5. Our boltholes are for all to enjoy but have limited capacity, so please do not over cram them above the limited numbers; otherwise we will have to apply further charges for the extra people.

6. Clay Pigeon Shooting takes place in the grounds so apologies for the noise and please take care when walking through the grounds.

7. A range of sports and activities can be undertaken at or near the Tower. Please note that participation of any sporting or leisure pursuits/ activities, either held at or organised by the Venue, is entirely at the Client and/or their guests risk. Some of the activities carry a degree of risk and Clarenco, the Venue or its staff cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, losses or illness however caused.

8. If you want to enjoy our Highland Bothy and Loch, please ask one of the team to escort you there.

9. The Tower is a large historic building and was not built with children in mind; it has lots of hiding places and some potentially dangerous places with steep stairs, roaring fires and low windows, so please make sure you supervise children at all times and keep them safe.

10. This is a very remote location and has limited mobile phone coverage and it can be difficult to access the internet. Please ask a member of staff for details of the areas within the building with the best signals.

Chateau Rhianfa

1. When they built the Chateau cars were rare, so apologies but we have limited car parking spaces in our two car park areas.

2. We want you to enjoy the beautiful Chateau gardens; however, they are tiered and steep in places so please wear flat shoes and look out for the decorated and covered flat Victorian wells.

3. Be safe, stay off the walls and watch out for the tides on the Menai Strait.

4. Always be safe when using the hot tub and sauna and follow our safety guidelines.

5. The Coach House, Stables and Gate Lodge are AmaZing boltholes, but only for so many people, please do not cram people in otherwise we will have to apply extra charges.

6. As the Chateau is a large historic building, in some areas, it can be difficult to get either a mobile phone signal or internet connection. Please ask a member of staff for advice on where to find the best signals.

7. A range of sports and leisure pursuits can be undertaken at or near the Chateau including water based activities. Please note that participation of any sporting or leisure pursuits/activities, either held at or organised by the Venue, is entirely at the Client and/or their guests risk. Solent Forts

1. Make sure you are fully protected for your boat journey, flat shoes, a coat or jacket are a must.

2. The sea is a busy place and boats must leave on time. Please make sure you are not late as we cannot wait! If you miss the boat, we may be able to send a boat to collect you but you will be charged for journey.

3. From time to time, the power may fluctuate, remember this is a remote Fort in the middle of the sea.

4. The Forts are full of original features, spiral stairs, thin alleys, and lots of steps; please be aware and take care.

5. The Forts have walls in excess of 5m thick and it can be difficult to get either a mobile phone signal or internet connection in certain parts. Please ask a member of staff for advice on where to find the best signals.

6. Always be safe when enjoying a hot tub or sauna and follow our safety guidelines.

7. Your safety is important to us. If the weather and sea conditions prevent us from transporting you safely, please be aware that every effort will have been made; however, we may have to cancel or postpone for safety reasons – sorry!

8. Our latest Fort, Horse Sands, is in its original condition since the 1940’s and it lacks facilities. It is a true World War 2 soldier fort style, very interesting and AmaZing though.

9. A range of sports and leisure pursuits can be undertaken at or near the Forts including high speed boat trips and water based activities. Please note that participation of any sporting or leisure pursuits/ activities, either held at or organised by the Venue, is entirely at the Client and/or their guests risk.
